πŸŽ–οΈ Term 1 and 2 – Lest We Forget

Year 6 begin with a deep dive into World War II, learning about the lives of ordinary people during extraordinary times. Through film clips, poetry, and a special workshop, children will explore stories of bravery, sacrifice, and remembrance. It’s a term to reflect on the past and understand why we must never forget.

🧊 Term 3 – Poles Apart

Get ready for an icy adventure! Children will journey to the Arctic and Antarctic, discovering frozen landscapes, daring explorers, and the wildlife that thrives in extreme conditions. Building igloos, map skills, and survival challenges will make this a truly β€˜cool’ term!

🌍 Term 4-5 – This is Africa

Africa comes alive in Year 6 as children explore the rich history of the Benin Kingdom, alongside art, music, and storytelling from across the continent. A vibrant drumming workshop and cultural studies will help children celebrate diversity and deepen their respect for different traditions.

🎬 Term 6 – Lights, Camera, Action

The stage is set! Year 6 will dive into the world of theatre and film, learning how stories are brought to life. From screen printing to moving theatre signs, children will explore creativity through performance, media, and design β€” and even enjoy a trip to the theatre.

    • Clubs
    • Lunch Menu/Prices
    • Uniform and equipment
    • Staff Information
    • Timetable/Important Times
  • Look at the school on maps/street view
  • Plan their route to the secondary school
  • Do a practice run getting to school and home
  • Research the school (Wikipedia and local news papers)
