Starting at the end of term 3, we will be tracking the steps our children take on a weekly basis. This is in order for the school to promote a healthier approach to our daily learning. We want to promote more active learning, not just through our PE lessons, but across the curriculum.

Each child in every year group, from EYFS through to Year 6, along with members of staff within that year group will be wearing pedometers and tracking their daily steps. Each class will have a weekly award for their 'Stepping Star' which will be awarded in our weekly celebration assemblies. These results will be published so that we are able to celebrate our successes as a school and share our improvements across the rest of the year. 

Please do share with your children your own successes if you track your own daily step count. It is always a bit of a challenge in the Brooker Household as to who can get the largest amount of steps in a day.
